When we step away from our daily activities and normal routines, our eyes naturally open wider and we seek out that which we have yet to discover. Navigating the world outside our comfort zones allows us to return home with a fresh perspective, a deeper connection to others, and a more subtle understanding of ourselves.
Similarly, our yoga mats are a place to embark on an inward journey. We meet our experiences with curiosity and openness. We connect to the ways that our body moves and how it feels when we offer it stillness. By observing our patterns of movement and thought, we have the opportunity to grow in awareness, expand beyond our expectations and assumptions, and see ourselves lovingly and fully.
